My favorite quote about myself thus far.

Please excuse her.
She gets really excited about absolutely nothing.

What are you doing with a gun in space?

Anyone have a movie you can watch over and over again?

Of course you do. Everyone does.
One of my favorites is on right now. Armageddon.
(Don't judge. I could admit to worse, trust me)
Steve Buscemi's character never fails to make me want to pee my pants.
I should watch this movie more often.

Boundin is my fav Pixar Short.

but For the Birds is a close second. Those little fuckers were so mean. They totally got what they deserved.
I love that the shorts are filled with good morals.
And the ones about Mater just make me giggle.

Side effect of a sick day

I don't know if I've just taken too much sinus medicine, but these teabag quotes are really speaking to me. They're so deep. I'm really inspired.

I'm also watching the Disney channel and am extremely tempted to buy this aqua sand. Its infomercial was very convincing.

Damn, goth girl. Where did you come from?

An online comic

The Saints won the Superbowl!

Just wanted to remind myself that is actually happened. It's still pretty much unbelievable and I wish I could have been in my city to experience it fully. That might help with the shock.

It's fun talking to my dad about it. He's so funny. Did I mention he wore a dress for the 4th quarter of the game? I don't know which is more shocking, winning the Superbowl or seeing that.

Party on, New Orleans! I will be in Disneyworld for this Mardi Gras season, but you know you're always in my heart!

The firehouse used in the film Ghostbusters is around the corner from my school.

Snow Day?

Even if the rest of New York City only closes down if a major catastrophe happens and blizzards don't count (*I'm looking at you, slave driving company that rhymes with Lacy's*), apparently schools still have snow days. More importantly, MY school allows for snow days and I might get my first one tomorrow.

Can we all join in a collaborative snow dance? Because for the first time, I don't have my homework and I'm dreading doing it.

But let's not get carried away with that dance because if my flight to Florida gets cancelled/delayed on Friday, there will be an angry cold Southerner at a JetBlue desk raising lots of hell.

The Soul of New Orleans

Have you seen this yet? It won't let me embed it, but it's worth the click.

It's quite amazing.
I've said it once and I will say it again. I am not a football fan but I am a fan of New Orleans and this makes my city happy, so I'm all for it.

They won't let me embed that but here is a fabulous recap for those who missed the Buddy D parade (backstory: a sports commentator who promised if the Saints ever made it to the Superbowl, he'd wear a dress. He died in 2005, so as a tribute to him thousands of men in dresses danced through the streets of New Orleans)

If you're not from New Orleans, you won't get this.

I'm working on a branding project for class and we are designing a condiment product line. Naturally, I chose a creole seasoning similar to Tony's. I'm calling it Lagniappe (a little something extra) and it's a trip watching these Northerners try to pronounce it. Lagniappe and Chachere's.

It's been a long time since I've had a conversation with these words in it and especially where the other party had no idea what I was talking about much less pronounce it properly. I'd love to see them try to pronounce some of our street names.

Stand Up and Get Crunk

I'm not sure if you've checked out the new batch of Saints songs in the recent years, but I hadn't heard a couple of them. Now, of course, they are all on my ipod in my New Orleans playlist.

Is it just me, or is it the mental image of your parents jamming to "Stand up and get Crunk" the funniest shit ever? I can no longer listen to this song with a straight face (which I'm sure that's a sight on the subway).

Before the last playoff game, my dad told my sister "We about to get Crunk". When she told me, I nearly fell out. I love my dad.
