Happiness

Is a library down the street.

Is finding a park in my neighborhood I never knew about because it's been too damn cold to go exploring.

Is Dunkin Donuts coffee.

Is reading a good book in said park with weather warm enough to be wearing a tank top.

The park thing I definitely understand. Did that last month, took my little Niece to an amazing park a few miles up the road, where She had a blast counting turtles, looking at fish and playing for an hour on the playground.

Your park has turtles?! I'm totally jealous! There were a few little kids playing and it was really cute.

There is a dog park directly across the street from my apartment but I'm refusing to go for fear of being pissed on. And if I wanted to step in dog shit, I could just walk towards Broadway- its all over the sidewalk. gross, I know.

It's not in my neighborhood, but a bit of a drive away. My neighborhood is a sorry, worn-out subdivision that was erected by some greedy guy who epitomizes the worst in suburban sprawl makers.

He designed no place within it for children to play, left no open space, didn't bother to include any sidewalks.

But a strip of woods remains behind a portion of it, along a creek, and that is my haven and my salvation.
